KSC Staff Recognized by Florida Public Relations Association Chapter

Two members of KSC, Inc.’s staff were honored by the Central West Coast Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association. Both received chapter recognition awards and were installed on the chapter’s board of directors.

During its annual Chapter Awards & Board Installation banquet on August 19, 2020, the Chapter presented KSC, Inc. Account Executive Melanie Reda, APR, a KARMA Award for going above and beyond in her board duties. She also was installed as the Chapter’s president-elect for the 2020-2021 year, taking a top position on the board of the professional public relations organization. Melanie first joined FPRA in 2011 and has taken on numerous leadership roles for the organization. For the 2019-2020 chapter year, she served as sponsorship director, and prior to that, she served as membership director for the 2018-2019 year in which the chapter received a state award for membership.

The Chapter also awarded KSC, Inc. Account Executive Erin Hoffer, APR, CPRC, with a Thomas Nunan Rising Star Award. The Thomas Nunan Rising Star Award recognizes an individual who is energetically and enthusiastically involved in chapter projects, exhibits a desire to pursue leadership opportunities in FPRA and exercises professional conduct. Erin earned both her accreditation in public relations (APR) from the Universal Accreditation Board and her credential as a certified public relations counselor (CPRC) in the last year through FPRA’s credential program. She joined FPRA in 2017 and became actively involved with the chapter in 2018 by volunteering to assist with the chapter’s sponsorship program. On Aug. 19, Erin was installed on the chapter’s board of directors as the 2020-2021 accreditation director.

Last year, Melanie received the Thomas Nunan Rising Star Award. Both Melanie and Erin are account executives at KSC, Inc., a strategic communications and business solutions firm. In their roles, they work one-on-one with clients to help them strategically tell their stories in ways that have impact and meaning to their customers.
