Internships

INTERNSHIPS

KSC knows that hands-on experience is the key to making internships both engaging and truly educational. No college classroom can foster the on-the-job knowledge and skills you’ll gain during an internship with our firm.

  • KSC offers summer internships (May to August) that allow students to gain exposure to a fast-paced, full-service advertising, marketing and public relations firm.
  • During their stay with KSC, interns will assist in the production of the Florida Public Relations Association’s Annual Conference. The conference, which takes place in early August, brings together PR practitioners from across the state. Interns will also attend the conference free-of-charge.
  • Interns will gain experience in media relations (writing press releases, pitching stories, following relevant news), advertising (copywriting, budgets, scheduling), marketing (social media campaigns, strategic planning) and more.
  • To intern with KSC, applicants must be juniors or seniors working toward university degrees with G.P.As of 3.0 or higher. For more information or if you are interested in applying, please contact Cheray Keyes-Shima.

Here’s what some previous interns had to say:

“As an aspiring public relations professional seeking as much experience in the field as possible, my experience interning at KSC was truly inspiring. During my time at KSC, I received hands-on experience and created portfolio work pieces. I worked alongside professionals daily, creating published materials and communicating with other public relations practitioners throughout the state. KSC is unique and special because I did not feel like just an intern, but a part of the KSC team— my work mattered and my voice was heard.”

“Working with KSC was an experience like no other, as the team was extremely helpful and supportive while showing me the ropes of corporate event management as well as general PR techniques. I realized how much I was able to accomplish when I was put in a situation where my boss gave me responsibility and showed respect. This internship expanded my PR knowledge vastly, bringing me experiences I would never have had in my college classes.”
