KSC worked with the Early Learning Coalition to promote its Literacy Empowers All Families initiative when it launched. In addition to creating a website, KSC also produced advertisements, flyers and even a coloring book to help promote the program. After LEAF’s launch, a representative sample of Sarasota County parents with children ages 0 to 5 was conducted. One-hundred percent of respondents said their talking, listening and reading time with their children had increased by 15 minutes a day, while 24% said it had increased by 30 minutes or more. Most recently, 2017, KSC relaunched the ELC’s early literacy initiatives under one umbrella site called Growing Minds Read.
