24 Jan KSC Account Executive Earns Certified PR Counselor Credential

An account executive at KSC, Inc. has earned her credentials as a Certified Public Relations Counselor from the Florida Public Relations Association.

Erin Hoffer, MA, APR, CPRC joined KSC, Inc.’s team in November 2018 after spending more than 11 years as a professional government communicator with the City of North Port. As an account executive, Erin develops and executes marketing and public relations strategies for a variety of local, regional and national clients. She earned her Accreditation in public relations in August 2019 and became a Certified Public Relations Counselor in January 2020.

Erin graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and communications in 2002 and a master’s in communications with a specialization in social media in 2016. She is a 2008 graduate of the Gulf Coast Leadership Institute. She worked as a journalist for the Herald-Tribune Media Group from 2003 to 2007, when she became the Community Outreach Manager for the City of North Port, Sarasota County’s largest municipality. In that role, Erin led many marketing, public relations and advertising initiatives. In 2017, she transitioned from the City Manager’s Office to a department, in which she worked with Parks and Recreation, Social Services and Information and Technology divisions until 2018, when she joined KSC, Inc. Erin has been a member of FPRA’s Central West Coast chapter since 2017.

As a Certified Public Relations Counselor (CPRC), Erin joins an elite group of public relations professionals within the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) who have proven to be at the top of their field. To earn the CPRC credential, FPRA members must have earned their Accreditation, have at least 10 years of public relations experience and undergo a rigorous panel presentation and timed written test. Originally formed in 1938, FPRA is the world’s oldest trade association for public relations professionals. FPRA created the CPRC credential in 1974.
